Expertise, Empathy, and Support—When It Matters Most
No one plans to need critical care transport. But when the unexpected happens, Boston MedFlight is here to help—bringing hospital-level care to you or your loved one, and supporting you every step of the way.
Whether your transport is by air or ground, you’ll be cared for by a specially trained team of critical care professionals. We work closely with hospitals, EMS, and referring providers to ensure a smooth, safe transition—because we know every moment matters.

What to Expect
When Boston MedFlight is called, it’s often during one of the most stressful times in a person’s life. Our goal is to bring not only the highest level of care, but also calm, clarity, and compassion.
Here’s what you can expect during a transport:
- Every mission is staffed by expert clinicians trained in intensive care, emergency medicine, and advanced transport procedures.
- We bring the equipment, medication, and monitoring typically found in a hospital ICU directly to your loved one.
- Our Communications Center coordinates each detail—matching the right team, mode of transport, and destination to the patient’s specific needs.
- Once care is transferred to the receiving hospital, our involvement ends—but our support for you doesn’t.
- We know these moments can feel overwhelming. Our team is here to answer questions and provide guidance whenever possible.
After the Transport: Ongoing Support
Once your loved one arrives at the hospital, our team ensures all relevant medical information is shared with the receiving care team. If you have questions after the transport, we’re here to support you.
