What Sets Our Transport Teams Apart?
At Boston MedFlight, experience and technical skill are just starting points. What truly sets our teams apart is the combination of clinical expertise, high-stakes readiness, and a deep commitment to trust, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
- Specialty-Certified Clinicians: Every transport is staffed by a critical care transport nurse and a critical care transport paramedic, each holding specialty certifications in critical care transport—such as CFRN and CCRN for nurses, and FPC for paramedics—ensuring ICU-level care wherever it’s needed.
- Essential Ground Support: Our EMTs play a vital role in critical care ground transport—ensuring vehicle readiness, assisting with patient movement, and supporting the clinical team with operational needs. Their work helps keep every transport safe, smooth, and focused on the patient.
- Elite Flight Crews: All Boston MedFlight pilots—both rotor-wing and fixed-wing—are highly trained, ATP-rated, IFR-proficient, and operate to standards above typical industry requirements. Our team undergoes rigorous and recurrent training focused on safety, proficiency, and readiness to perform critical care transport missions in all environments.
- Prepared for Anything: There’s no such thing as a “routine” mission. Whether responding to a trauma scene or transporting a critically ill newborn, our crews are trained and equipped to adapt in real time while always putting the patient first.
- Collaborative Culture: Whether at a bedside or scene, our teams work seamlessly with referring EMS crews and hospital staff at referring and/or receiving providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Built on Trust: In critical care transport, trust isn’t optional—it’s essential. Our teams rely on one another completely, knowing that lives depend on coordinated action and mutual respect under pressure. Learn more about the Maintenance team that keeps our aircraft ready to serve.
- Calm Under Pressure: When chaos surrounds a scene, our teams bring calm. Patients and families feel the difference—steady hands, confident decisions, and genuine compassion when it matters most.
